IGNITE TALK

When a new trend comes out why do people want to follow that trend ?
What I did over break was look up the newest trends and why people might want to follow them
I learned that people follow the trend because they just want to fit in with everyone and if they don't they feel insecure that people are not gonna like the way they dress or who they are as a person
I noticed it's similar to Fahrenheit 451 because everyone in that book goes along with society and doesn't do their own thing
I am still going on with my resource and asking people their opinion on why people gollow the new trend

The Great Gatsby Chpt 7 Notes

• Tom finds out that Daisy and Gatsby have feelings for each other 
• Daisy ask Gatsby to go into town once Tom founds out he decides that they should go into town 
• Mrytle Tom mistress was hit by a car 
• Tom finds out that it was his car that Gatsby and Daisy were in 
• Daisy was driving the car 
• Gatsby was willing to take blame for Daisy 
• Gatsby waited in the bushes in order to make sure that Tom did not hurt Daisy 
• Gatsby wants Daisy to tell Tom that she never loved Tom 
• Daisy is stuck between both of them and  says she loves both but she cant say she never loved Tom because she loves Tom 
• Daisy seemed uninterested in her child 
• Gatsby is very shocked that the baby is real 
• In the chapter it changes the whole story  because Daisy gets into a car with Gatsby and she hits her husbands mistress and she does not  even know it and then Gatsby loves Daisy so much he is willing to take the blame for her .They all go into town and Tom wants to start acting like a husband to Daisy because he sees that Gatsby really cares for her . Gatsby asked Daisy to tell Tom that she never loved him that she only married him because he was at war and he was poor. Sadly Daisy  says she cant say that because that's not true she does Tom but she also loves Gatsby. My opinion i think Daisy was wrong because Tom  treats her like sh** and cheats in her and she decides to still be with him while Gatsby does so much for just to get her attention like throw these amazing parties. Daisy was wrong she deserve be with someone who will treat her good but she decides to be with someone who does not give a sh** about her. That sums up my notes for chapter 7
